What the test is
You answer 25 short statements about how you usually think, feel and act. Your answers are turned into scores on five dimensions: Social Energy, Warmth, Structure, Steadiness and Curiosity. Each score comes with a plain-language description, and your two most distinctive dimensions give you a profile name you can share.
What it is not
- Not a diagnosis. It cannot tell you whether you have any condition, and it is not a substitute for talking to a professional.
- Not a hiring or selection tool. Please do not use it to judge candidates, students or anyone else.
- Not a fixed label. Your result describes how you answered today. People change, moods shift, and the same person can score differently a few months apart.
- Not a ranking. Scores are raw scores from your own answers. They are not compared with a population, and neither end of a dimension is better than the other.
Where the statements come from
The statements are adapted from the International Personality Item Pool (IPIP), a public-domain collection of personality items made freely available for research and other uses. We chose five items for each dimension from its widely used five-factor markers and kept their wording close to the originals.
The five dimension names, the profile names and every description you read in your result are our own. They are written to be useful for reflection, not to reproduce any particular research instrument.
